L&D offers over 20 years experience in examining traffic congestion and safety conditions, and in designing roadways, intersections, traffic control devices, sidewalks, streetscapes, and street lighting.

Our projects have ranged from as large as complete intersection reconstruction/realignment to as small as a traffic study for a 3-4 lot residential development. We have performed traffic signal warrant analyses, small area corridor and circulation studies, and traffic impact assessments for new residential and commercial developments. Our projects often include performing speed surveys, sight distance measurements, traffic counts and accident data analysis.

We employ the latest computer software, including AutoTurn, HCS+, Signal2000, Synchro and SimTraffic to analyze capacity and/or optimize signal timings along numerous major arterial corridors throughout Vermont.
